Mail: Issues saving messages or running some rules with Safari 4 Public Beta installed

After installing Safari 4 Public Beta, these issues may occur in Mail: You may be unable to save your Mail messages as Rich Text Format or Plain Text. Using the File > Save As command may appear to work, but the message files may not actually be saved.   Mail rules that forward messages to another email address may no longer work.
