Black Friday, the biggest shopping event of the season, starts on November 25 this year. If you are looking a great deal on a new MacBook Pro or MacBook Air you have come to the right place. We are here to help you save money on a new Apple laptop on Black Friday 2022.
Apple sells three sizes of MacBook Pro. These include a 13-inch MacBook Pro with M2 chip and 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models that come with either the M1 Pro or M1 Max. You may also be able to find deals on the older 13-inch MacBook Pro with M1 that Apple has discontinued; some resellers may still have it in stock.
Similarly, Apple sells two kinds of MacBook Air: the M2 MacBook Air, introduced in July 2022, and the older M1 MacBook Air, which was launched in 2020. You may be able to find deals on both models. Some resellers may even have the M1 MacBook Air with 8-Core GPU that Apple discontinued.

Black Friday shopping tips
- We tend find that the best savings are on older models.
- Check the generation of the model that is discounted to make sure you know exactly what you are buying and what it’s really worth.
- We’ve seen resellers switch to selling refurbished or used when the stock of brand-new models run out, so check that the model discounted isn’t actually a used Mac and therefore not as good a deal as it might look.
- Mac deals aren’t limited to Black Friday. We see good deals all year round, so don’t feel pressured into buying during Black Friday.
- However, if you are outside the U.S. we expect that these will be the best prices you will ever see based on clear indications that Apple will increase Mac prices at some point, as it did to iPad prices following the launch in October.
