There’s little question that Apple knows how to put on a show, and barring some minor omissions (iPad mini, anyone?), Apple’s iPhone/iPod event was one for the books.
That said, only journalists and Apple’s own people were able to attend, but Apple has just posted the full video of its recently wrapped event so you too...

Right after the Apple press conference, an all-star panel took the stage at TechCrunch Disrupt in San Francisco. Jim Dalrymple (The Loop), John Gruber (Daring Fireball), Tim Stevens (Engadget), MG Siegler (TechCrunch columnist) and Jason Snell (Macworld) told Darrell Etherington and the audience their first impressions of the new iPhone. Among the famous Apple writers, The Loop’s Dalrymple compared...

Its most important product is set to get its biggest upgrade in more than two years
FORTUNE -- There's a lot riding on the announcement Apple (AAPL) is scheduled make in San Francisco today at 10 a.m. Pacific (1 p.m. Eastern).

One of the most noticeable consumer-facing changes in the new version of Apple’s mobile operating system, iOS 6, is the updated App Store application for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. Apple chose not to focus on the changes during this morning’s announcement – perhaps because details were already revealed thanks to developer leaks showing the new user interface in action. But...

Apple’s new EarPods are available to order today in the Apple Store, but we were lucky enough to get a pair here at TechCrunch for some early testing. The new design is definitely eye-catching, but does performance live up to the looks? Read on to find out.

If Passbook is the secret payload in iOS 6 like I suspect it will be, Facebook integration is the more obvious time bomb. Apple has proven in the past that putting social networks deeply into its products results in a big bump: When it added Twitter to iOS in iOS 5, it boosted monthly sign-ups by 25 percent.
Facebook has a...

Apple’s long-neglected iPod Touch just got a considerable upgrade with a new design, improved camera, and 4-inch Retina display. Not unlike the iPhone 5, the new model also supports iOS6 and has a 5-megapixel camera and A5 Dual-Core chip.
The Touch is a considerable improvement over the old model but takes more design cues from the original Touches and iPhone...

Meet the new Nano, definitely not the same as the old Nano. This upgraded model is more akin to the original Nano design with a longer screen and physical home button. The device is definitely far smaller than you’d expect and it’s mostly glass and aluminum with a bit of plastic to hold it together.
The UI is very similar to...
