Apple announced further details on OS X Mountain Lion, the iterative successor to Lion. Improvements include separate apps for Messages, Reminders, and Notes as well as a new notifications system. iCloud users can also store documents to the cloud.

Apple’s Tim Cook just announced an updated MacBook Air with 3.2-GHz Intel Core i5 processors with 512GB of SSD storage and 500MBps read speeds. The new Airs also include USB 3.0 ports making them 10x faster than USB 2.0. The laptops will include two dual 2.0/3.0 ports.
The laptops use Intel’s Ivy Bridge architecture.
