Movies in the Aperture library sometimes are not available in the iMovie Event Library.

When you attempt to import your iPhoto 7.1.5 or later iPhoto library into Aperture 3 you may receive the following alert:  

Aperture 3 allows you to tag your images with metadata to help sort and identify photos. Learn about how keywords and other IPTC fields in Aperture 3 map to their equivalents in other applications.

The alert "HVURLHandlerErrorDomain – 1002" appears when you try to access the Aperture 3 Help menu after upgrading from Aperture 2. This occurs when using Aperture in Japanese.

Sometimes your thumbnails in the browser are shown as outlined gray boxes. If you click on one of the gray thumbnails, the correct image is displayed in the Viewer.

If you try to open Aperture 2.0 – 2.1.3 on a computer running Mac OS X v10.6, you will see this dialog:

When you choose Metadata > Write IPTC Metadata to Masters, any IPTC Core fields you have populated are not written to the master images.

Adjustments made to images using the Contrast slider in iPhoto are not preserved in Aperture when the library containing those images is imported into Aperture 3.

When the Curves adjustment is applied to an image, the image exhibits posterization.
