iOS 5.1 & iPad 3 Leak Rumor, HP Envy 14 Spectre Released Today ($1399) and Windows 8 Event

Today on NewsCast (February 8,2012 Edition): Hidden within the depths of the iPhone's carrier operator profiles, YourDailyMac has discovered a bit of code that suggests that iOS 5.1 will be available starting March 9. The profiles, which are used for operators in Japan, France, Greece, Finland, and Sweden, pertain to the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4S, the third and fourth generation iPod Touch, iPad, and iPad 2, and are used to ensure proper connectivity with the countries' wireless networks. Historically speaking, Apple has reserved March to announce new tablets and it looks like this year may be no different, with previous reports supporting the same time frame for the release of the iPad 3.
