Find a suitable app for your device that will tie you into the appropriate radio or police scanner network. Dial in the frequency of your hospital on the scanner app and no more boredom. You'll hear all the activity on the hospital's communications systems courtesy of local scanner enthusiasts monitoring and providing internet connectivity. Nurses, patient transport, doctors, security, ambulances, maybe even something about you. Google these terms to get going: FCC, radio reference, Live Police Scanner, App, Android Phone Police, scanner iphone, ipod touch, ipad, mobile scanners, live Internet radio stations, cell phone BlackBerry, scanner streaming. Many sites record and archive this material, you can hear what was going on last week or last year! Listen to my samples, kind of crude 'cause I copied from my ipad using my cell phone camera.
