Controlling Your Home with the Touch of an iPad

At Forbes.com, Morgan Brennan reports on the new 8000-square foot Savant Experience Center, a typical “swanky” Manhattan apartment with one special difference — it’s automated with Apple technology. Brennan writes that nearly every feature of the multi-room center, including lighting, window shades, temperature, and even a hidden flat-screen television can be “easily controlled with Apple products like iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch-embedded remote controls” running TrueImage software by Savant Systems. Brennan quotes Savant Systems CEO Robert Madonna, who notes: “Anyone who can afford to buy an iPhone can essentially have a piece of automation in their home.”
