Seit Mountain Lion bietet Apple die Funktion Videos direkt in OS X ohne Zusatzprogramme zu codieren oder konvertieren. Das kann sehr hilfreich sein um zB Videos in das passende Format für iPhone und iPad zu bringen, oder auch die Möglichkeit die Videos in Apple ProRess für Final Cut umzuwandeln ist gegeben.
