iPhone 5, raised the bar even higher with unique features and design, explained by Hootnotes.com

(AppleNews247.Com, September 28, 2012 ) Dallas, TX -- Let’s wind the clocks back a year. The new iPhone came out. This was called the iPhone 4S. iPhone 4S did all the things previous iPhones did and more. But the clue was in the title. Although named after the voice recognition system, Siri, which apple introduced, this also had the same big fat ‘4’ in its title as the, uh, iPhone 4. Users wanted the iPhone 5, and although the 4S took the device forward, the ‘S’ may as well have stood for.

If users do think they are content with their 4S, they might change their mind pretty quickly once they have the iPhone 5 in the palm of their hand. Holding the bloody thing is a wonderful experience Users don’t even have to turn this on. This just feels good. Like holding a fluffy kitten that purrs up at users with big eyes. User's first reaction to grasping the iPhone 5 was a squeal of, ‘This is so light!’.

Being an iPhone is a bit like being a Budget speech. Before budget is unveiled, all of the key details has already been leaked. But so what if users already knew this would be thinner, lighter and taller than the 4S? Not being surprised can be a good thing. The iPhone 5’s height advantage, this offers four inches of display compared to the predecessors’ 3.5, makes this look a remarkably sleeker object. Wisely, the width of the phone is the same as always, meaning one good thumb swipe will still get a user across the screen.

Sometimes less is more. In the case of the iPhone 5’s touchscreen, this definitely is. Apple has taken out a glass layer of the touchscreen to give this a more subtle feel. Sometimes, however, more is more the screen resolution is now 1136 x 640 pixels, an improvement on 960 x 640 previously. The overall feel of touching things (which, come on, is what the phone is for) is more responsive and more natural. Because the screen is taller, this finds room for six rows of icons rather than five.
