I picked up my iPhone 5 on Friday and I've been using it quite extensively over the weekend. The speed difference is a huge upgrade over my iPhone 4S. For people on the go who rely on their phones as much as I do, the bump to 4G is almost reason enough to upgrade. This test shows the differences in speed I experience (consistent with real world usage), mostly on uploads. As most of you know, I shoot a lot of high-res photos and a decent amount of video, so uploading those is where I first noticed the difference. My theory on this is the single chip design Apple has implemented. That's also the reason the iPhone 5 can't do simultaneous voice/data on LTE, unlike other devices. More on that on my blog, here: mbchp.me Leave a comment below and let me know what results you're seeing with your iPhone 5. |
