Australian supermarket fined $2.5m over false ‘fresh bread’ claims

Australian supermarket chain Coles has been fined $2.5 million for incorrectly stating bread was "freshly baked."

In 2014, The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) won the Federal Court case against Coles, in which the company was accused of misleading customers.
