LONDON (12 October 2016) –Since 19 September, Russian and Syrian airstrikes have intensified on opposition-controlled eastern Aleppo and operational patterns have shifted, according to analysis released by IHS Markit (Nasdaq: INFO), a world leader in critical information, analytics and solutions.

Between 19 September and 3 October, the IHS Jane’s Terrorism and Insurgency Centre recorded at least 143 separate airstrikes in Aleppo, resulting in at least 362 fatalities. Approximately 51 percent of these were reportedly civilians.
